Provide the origin and destination locations and any preferred ports. Include the goods description, packaging, number of packages, outside dimensions and total gross weight.

If you already have a container requirement, state the type and size. If you are unsure, give the actual cargo measurements so suitable loading and transport options can be discussed. Equipment and service availability must be confirmed for the shipment.

Clarify what happens before and after the voyage

Tell us whether you need a port-to-port assessment or also want collection and final delivery considered. Explain who will arrange loading, unloading and access at the relevant sites.

For shipments that involve customs formalities, describe the cargo and available commercial documents. Any document or clearance support must be discussed and included explicitly in the agreed scope.

Compare the complete cost and schedule

The route, cargo volume and weight, loading arrangement, port handling and any connecting transport can affect the quote. Clarify which stages and charges are included before comparing transport options.

Distinguish a planned vessel schedule from the date your customer needs the goods. Transfers, port procedures and onward delivery may affect the full journey. Storage or equipment-related conditions should be clarified where relevant; an enquiry alone does not reserve space.
