Start with the route and the cargo

We welcome enquiries concerning Germany, Poland, Austria, Czechia and France. Specify the actual collection and delivery addresses, including postcodes. The transport option and availability need to be assessed for each shipment.

Describe the goods and their packaging. Pallets, crates and individual packages can have different handling requirements, even when their total weight is similar.

• Collection and delivery locations, with contact or booking requirements
• Number of packages and external length, width and height of each size group
• Total gross weight, including packaging
• Whether the goods can be stacked and any restrictions on loading

Check access at both ends

Let us know whether a forklift or loading ramp is available and whether collection or delivery must take place within a booked time window. Mention limited vehicle access, height restrictions or other site conditions before requesting a quote.

If the shipment needs temperature control, special equipment or particular handling, describe the requirement. Suitability must be confirmed before the transport is agreed.

What influences a road freight quote?

The route, shipment dimensions, weight, available loading space, required dates and handling arrangements all help determine the scope and price. A volume calculation is useful, but it does not show how much floor space a non-stackable load will occupy.
